Through Discover ISIF Asia, we seek to catalyze a larger overall discussion around the use of Internet technologies for development in the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on educating and inspiring ICT4D practitioners, donors, and the communities they serve, mainly around the following concepts:
- Access provision: innovative ways to expand reliable fixed and mobile access to Internet services with low cost deployment, low power consumption and low maintenance solutions
- Learning and localization: innovative ways to increase the local capacity to generate content and services in local languages to maximize coverage of local community information, training and services needs
- Code for the common good: innovative ways to develop mobile-based services and solutions with social and developmental impact
- Rights: innovative ways to support human rights activists to use the Internet strategically to strength their causes as well as to support the protection of human rights online
In order to achieve our mission, we continuously seek new Asia Pacific voices and topics to feature on Discover ISIF Asia. If you have a topic we should cover, or would like to submit a Guest Post, please contact the editor today!
